Week 4a

In class, symbolic storyboards were discussed and we began our next project: Motion Message. Music has been very influential in my life, as I suppose it has been with most people, so I knew I had to do some lyrics from a song. Within the past year or two I've been expanding my musical tastes from just straight up 'rock' to include more folksy feeling pieces. The song "Pocket full of Gold" by American Authors had me falling in love with it from the very first time I heard it, and it played on the way into class that morning so I knew I had to use it in this project.

Week 3

The word Rhythm has a very interesting memory tied to it for me, because my first year in high school band our band director asked if anyone knew the definition, and nobody could provide a very good one. So every time I hear this word I think of freshman band in high school. The obvious thing would have been to do something like a heartbeat, or put it to music (omitting the track in the final cut). Instead I opted for a sort of build-up of the word, moving from random letters appearing to the full word.
